Please read the recruitment post to fully understand what type of guild we are, and how we are diffrent from other guilds.

Guild information:
Borked is a well respected guild here on Ravencrest that got roots all the way back to classic wow.
The guild have always had great progress from the beginning of WoW. Borked killed Kel'Thuzard in Naxxramas 40 as one of the top guilds in the world, then continued on with realm first Illidan and Kil'jeadan in The Burning Crusade, before the major nerfs. As the guild changed in TBC and couldn't keep up with the world firsts guilds, the guild shaped around speed kills and high raid dps. Borked had multiple highranked people on wwsscoreboard (the worldoflogs of tbc) and also multiple speedkills ranked as number 1 in the world.
As Wrath of the Lich King came, the guild continued to change. Our members got older and more mature and are now trying to fit in real life with hardcore gaming. We still aim for good progress, fast kills and high performance. But even if some of our members would like to, worlds first kills is something we cant compete with anymore.

Most characteristic thing about Borked is our high end raiding without voice communication. No Ventrilo, no Team Speak, nothing. That's something that we began in TBC and we have managed every encounter since then. We go through all tactics in chat before the fight, as soon as we engage every player is on their own. This requires every player to be fully aware of whats going on around them.
All members in the guild need to be fluent in english. Since all communication is done through chat, the guild does not support people with reading and writing issues.

Since many of our members work and study, we won't schedule daytime raids. We might schedule raids during weekends if it shows necessary. (But it hasn't been since Ulduar.)
The guild is built up on upon a small core lead by one officer, world first lvl 80 druid, Fs. We require everyone to have an extremely high attendance, as we don't recruit people to be benched. Many of our members are getting up in age, which has formed the community to be strong and mature. The avarage age is around 25, and has kept increasing over the years.

We have built 4 Vala'nyr maces, 3 Shadowmournes in the guild. Done all PvE achievements up to and including Icecrown. We obtained multiple flying gnome heads, and keeps getting more.

To sum things up...
Borked is a hardcore raiding guild, but with respect of work and studies. In Borked you will get a high quality raiding enviroment, downing every single encounter in WoW no matter difficulty as fast as possible without the need of voice communication. The guild consists of high quality gamers with outstanding performances, and that's what we expect every new members to live up to.

We are currently in need of:
Don't need any specific class at the moment, but we are always interested in high class players that stand out from the rest. If you consider yourself as a stable player, outperforming everyone around you and that knows deep inside they will continue playing as passioned as always in Cataclysm. You'll have our intrest.

But, dont hesitate to send an application if you see yourself as an exceptional player.

Raiding Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday: 19:00 to 24:00*
Friday and Saturday are offdays, unless any other decision is made.
* Raids might get extended if we are close to a kill.

As a member in Borked we expect you to...
- prioritze the guild over your personal gain, you will spec for a better raid setup if requested. Follow directions such as add killing etc.
- not whine after a couple of wipes.
- adapt with the situation changes. If someone dies, if something goes wrong; Think fast! We can make it anyway.
- be able to fully communicate in english.
- have understanding about your class. Nobody is perfect, you can always improve. But it's your responsibility to do it yourself. We dont want to have the need to tell you how to play or specc.
- always have consumables and be able to cover your own repair bills, respecs, glyphs etc.
- have close to 100% attendance. Something can happend, it's fine. But let it be weeks even months before you are away again!
- have a good computer and stable internet connection to handle end game raiding.
- not let raiding get effected by outside means. You need to have control over your life, and not let someone else force you to bed!

Applying to Borked:
I have chosen to not write a template. It's not because I am lazy, it's to get more out of the applicants. Self written applications tells alot about how much work you are willing to put into applying to us. Rather write too much than too little. The more information you give us, the easier it will be for us to consider if you are suitable for the guild or not. Outstanding applications will give you a higher chance to join the guild. It is your first impression to us, it's important that you sell yourself.

Some pointers to remember when you write your application:
Information about your character
- Name, spec, /played, armory link, WoL logs etc
- If you are applying for a hybrid slot, please create a custom profile on wowhead or similar sites so we can view your different gear sets.

Information about you
- Name, location, age
- Work, school, commitments
- What do you do outside WoW?

Your raiding experience
- Classic, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King
- How long have you been raiding? What's your latest progression kill? Which hardmodes have you done?
- Hardmode experience is something we appreciate alot
- Please include buff % when mentioning your latest ICC progresson kill.

Former guilds
- Who did you raid with? Why did you leave?
- Try to make it as accurate as possible. Write them all if you've been in multiple guilds.

Your Connection, computer
- It's important that we know that your computer can handle the encounters and that your connection is stable.

Screenshot of your ui in a raiding enviroment
- Just to give us a general understanding of how you see things in wow

Additional information
- Alts
- Whatever you feel worth telling us.

When you have written your application, send it in a Private Message to me. I will look through it, add my comments and send it forward it to our Guild Master, then he will decide whether you are Borked material or not.
